VERONICA

Why we love Veronica.

Meet Veronica. She's the best, and we're genuinely not sure what we would do without her! If you haven't been warmly greeted by her yet (early am and into the evening), we hope you'll get a chance to meet our sweet, smart, and SASSY lil lady. And yes, she can climb and pilatz like no other! We've loved getting to know her and we think it's time you get to know her as well...

Why X˙CORE?

I found X-CORE after being physically inactive for 8 months. I was looking for a pilates studio that was close to home, but I was also looking for something new and exciting. I tried a few other studios in the area before committing to X-CORE. After my first class, I was convinced that this workout was crazy and that I would never return. But after using all the classes in my newbie package, I was hooked! I love that the classes are shorter than most, but I never feel like I'm missing anything from my workout. As fate would have it, I was also in search of work at the time I began working out at X-CORE. Working front desk allows me to be a part of a fitness community that I would otherwise not have access to.

Where are you from originally?

I'm originally from West Covina, CA, which is part of the greater Los Angeles area. I’ve lived in Oakland for 6 years.

What is your favorite restaurant in Oakland?

My favorite restaurant in Oakland is Souley Vegan in Jack London Square!

(oh yea...she's vegan!)

What do you like to do for fun?

When I’m not working or studying, I love to travel. I’m always looking forward to my next trip. I try and get out of town at least once every 2 months, even if it’s just for a couple of days.

Fun facts.

I love to sing! I’ve spent most of my life in vocal training classes and different styles of choirs.

What’s your day job?

When I'm not working behind the desk at X˙CORE, I'm a full time Interior Architecture & Design student at the Academy of Art! I also work part time at Gold & Rust, a mid-century modern vintage furniture shop on Piedmont Ave.

Who inspires you?

Part of the reason I decided to join the X-CORE team is because I am so inspired by Cora and Elaine! It’s amazing to be surrounded and supported by such strong, driven women <3

(oh you...)

Favorite x-CLIMB move?

My favorite xCLIMB move is anything on the lower handrails :)

X-CORE is…

X-CORE is unique, challenging, and rewarding!
