Elaine has a background in dance, including competitive cheer, ballet, jazz and hip hop. Sadly, her dancing journey ended when she sustained several injuries, but quickly found high intensity pilates to help her through her fitness slump. As a lifelong fitness enthusiast I came upon the Lagree Method in Brooklyn, NY following a knee injury in 2012 and in search of a low impact yet butt kicking workout. I fell in love instantly with every aspect of the method particularly how much stronger I became in my core. Quite honestly, I FOUND my core through this workout. I absolutely love how incredibly challenging it continues to be no matter how many classes I take. It never gets easier and its impossible not to feel accomplished after each and every class. After leaving a career in the medical field in NYC, I moved the Bay Area in 2014 beginning a new adventure as group fitness instructor. At Xcore, I continue to be grateful for the opportunity to assist people as they build their strength from the inside out; which is what the machine is designed to do. Guiding clients through exercises with proper technique, helping people feel stronger and more posturally sound in their bodies (which in turn builds confidence) AND pushing people past their limits while keeping them safe and injury free is such a complete joy for me. Outside the studio, you'll find me on hiking trails, at a beach, exploring other countries and cultures, at live music shows, reading outside with my pup enjoying the CA sunshine or learning as much as I can about wine. Come shake with me!

I love being active and doing anything adventurous! I’ve been teaching Lagree for about 5 years and love that it never gets boring and continues to be challenging. I’m also very passionate about travel! I recently got back from a 6 month round the world trip with my husband. So if I’m not in the studio, I’m probably planning another adventure (or eating dark chocolate)!

Megan, an East Bay native, has been twisting, pulsing, and activating those slow twitch muscle fibers since 2011. Before finding this method of high intensity pilates, Megan was never a big fan of working out, but as it turns out she just hadn't found the right fitness class yet! After discovering the workout Megan left her corporate marketing job to raise tiny humans and teach others how to move "slow and controlled" through french twists, scrambled eggs, and donkey kicks.

I’m Bay Area native who first discovered a love for fitness through being a student and teacher of yoga. Five minutes into taking my first high intensity pilates class, I swore to never try the workout again but somehow found myself in another class the next day. I instantly became hooked on the challenge! When not teaching, I enjoy traveling (mostly to eat) and going to concerts.

I am a San Francisco native, plant enthusiast, and true homebody! I love the way plants make a space feel and I've made a little urban jungle that I never want to leave! While I am home, you can find me in the kitchen about 80% of the time. I love to cook and bake. Full disclosure - I have the meanest sweet tooth so naturally, fitness became a huge role in my life. It's all about balance.

Jasmin was a former competitive swimmer, long-distance runner, and huge cardio addict, but transitioned to Pilates/Lagree once she realized she needed more sustainable and strengthening exercises. Jasmin completed her 450-hour comprehensive Pilates training focused on Physical Therapy, and previously taught Pilates Reformer, Mat, and HIIT Fusion classes. Once she discovered X-Core, she fell in love with their low-impact, yet highly humbling workout, as well as their community, and decided to make X-CORE her new home. In her classes, you will find a high emphasis on form and technique, as well as fun and upbeat music. Although small in size, she has a BIG passion for helping individuals find joy in movement.

She found high intensity Pilates 4 years ago when she was living in Boston and fell in love with the program and the results (a low-impact workout that delivers serious burn and is only 40 min!). She started teaching shortly thereafter and was lucky enough to find X-CORE shortly after moving back to the Bay Area. Outside of being at X-CORE, she can likely be found around the Temescal neighborhood trying new restaurants or walking her dog Hambone.
