  4. Put it into practice

    • Instructor demo of Intro & Delivery (2 min - Mason)

    • Instructor delivers drills to practice vocabulary (10 min - Mason)

  5. X-CLIMB Class Structure (15 min - Mason)

  6. Music - Part 1 (1 hour - Franklin)

    • Learning music

      • What is BPM?

      • Why is it important?

      • Put it into practice using BPM app

    • Curating a playlist

      • Song Climb Types

  7. Breakout sessions (1 hour with each group before switching)

    • Group 1 with Franklin - create playlist for songs 1-4 in the main room

    • Group 2 with Mason - practice teaching in the VC room

    • Switch


 

HOMEWORK

  1. Practice your welcome and intro to the class for new clients

  2. Choose an intro song without lyrics to intro the VC

  3. Create a playlist and choreography for songs 1-4


Day 2:

PUT IT INTO PRACTICE

  1. Review Homework - everyone instructs: (1 hour - Mason)

    • Intro with background song

    • Teach warmup song with 2x2 and 4x4

  2. Music - Part 2 (1 hour - Franklin)

    • Tips and tools to use when making playlists

  3. Breakout sessions (1 hour with each group before switching)

    • Group 1 with Franklin - create playlist for songs 5-9 in the main room

    • Group 2 with Mason - practice homework songs 1-4 in the VC room

    • Switch

  4. Class Setup and Shutdown (10 min)

  5. Practice teaching songs 5-9 (2 hours)


 

HOMEWORK

Create 2nd full playlist + choreography. Share your playlist with Elaine.


Day 3:

PRACTICE TEACHING

  1. Review Homework - everyone instructs: (2 hours - Mason)

    • Group 1 teaches first 4 songs

    • Group 2 teaches last 4 songs

  2. Coaching off the Climber (30 min - ?)

  3. Practice, practice, practice (3 hours)

    • Everyone teaches Songs 8 & 9 off the Climber

    • Practice teaching songs they don’t know to test


 

HOMEWORK

The Road to Teaching X-CLIMB:

  1. Practice!

  2. Take classes

  3. Schedule practice times with trainers through Elaine

  4. Set up friends and family classes on your own; coordinate times with Elaine

  5. Community classes; will be coordinated through Elaine once trainers give Elaine the green light
